Dolkhar Resort is inspired by Ladakh’s people, culture, and traditional values. This luxury boutique stay integrates a little piece of Ladakh with the rest of the world while keeping central their values of conscious, sustainable, and contextual travel. The entire property is built with an aim to create a zero waste and zero plastic ecosystem. 

To help you unwind and completely immerse into the landscape, the property has a spa and a terrace bar. It also offers meditation, yoga and pottery sessions on request at its terrace activity space.

The property has seven duplex luxury villas (local architecture/ local materials/ exposed talu ldungma/ stone wall- colors of the mountains) with a rabsal Ladakhi balcony on top and a private patio on the ground floor. The rooms at Dolkhar are a perfect reflection of how we experience the landscape of Ladakh as the stone walls of the room share the same colours as the mountains outside and the ceiling made of exposed talu ldungma is a reminder of the long stretches of poplar that come back to life in the spring every year. The villas also come with a rabsal Ladakhi balcony and a private patio on the ground floor. The rooms are stylistically elevated by the sheep and yak wool rugs hand woven by women from Kharnak, Changtang, the cushion covers and throws have been made by Superb Ladakh- a local weaving unit,  Additionally, the bathroom amenities have been custom made for Dolkhar by ‘Bare Necessities’- a zero waste, non polluting, community driven product and service company, the toilet paper and napkins- recycled and eco friendly come from GoodKarma. The coffee in the rooms has been custom made by Billi Hu and the tea is sourced locally.
